Well, winter arrived here in AZ, finally!. It has been a warm and mild winter but the snow appeared and the temperatures dropped. As I am writing, it is 8 deg. out. Glad I am inside. I wanted to share a few things that I put together in the last month. Hope you enjoy them.

Below are pictures of the mug rugs that I have put together
for our "Mug Rug" exchange
These are some of my "woven fabric" projects that I made
into mug rugs.
Here are some of my other woven projects.
I teach this technique and it is a super fun class.
Here are my oval "Mug Rugs"
The above two rugs are created with some of the cuts
from Accuquilt's "Go" die "Heather Feather #2"
The hummingbird rug came about after I
took a machine quilting class and worked
on my thread play
I will post the other participants rugs when I have
accumulated them all. So stay posted!
Here is a little angel that I created recently.

Hello to All! Getting ready to do a Make & Take class tomorrow
with some fun projects using circles. Here are a few that I
will be sharing with the gals. These are quick and fun to make.
We are going to create gift jar tops with this one.
These can be made to use as coasters to add a bit
of Christmas to any room. I have had mine for years,
not as coasters and actually not as anything.
Not sure what I want to do with mine,
will let you know when I know.
Here is what I have done with this technique
on my "Darling Sue" pattern
Here is what I have done with this technique
on my "Darling Sue" pattern
This one is actually 12" in diameter and very dimensional.
My plan is to adhere it to a shaker-box to
be filled with goodies. I am making one with quilting fabric
and will make a gift box filled with quilting items for
one of my special quilting friends.
These are fun ornaments to make and look great on anyone's tree.
My next Make & Take class will be working with square's so stay posted to see
what will be offered!

New Pattern Available
I made this quilt years ago and I brought it out to show others
and they asked for a pattern. Well, I wrote one and it is
available for purchase on my website
I had to make some changes to my personal quilt due
to copyright reasons. I replaced the "Fancy Sue"
in the center of the quilt with my own
"Darling Sue" pattern. If you choose to want to do
"Fancy Sue" she can be found in
March/April 1997 issue of Quiltmaker.

I've been busy getting ready for our local show
at the end of the month. But, my camera is giving
me fits so I only have one of the quilts to show you.
Hopefully I can figure this dilemma out soon,
I'm lost without my camera!!!!

Below is the rest of the set that I put together today.
There is a covered notepad with a place for a Kindle.
There is a "Mug Rug" with a cup cozie.
And then there is a Tea Bag holder.
They all make for a quiet afternoon reading a favorite
book and sipping on a comforting cup of tea.

School Pillow
An Afternoon Project
Any message can be put in the middle, Mrs. ? Class, I Love My Teacher, etc.
In making these pillows, I used fusible bias tape maker, "Leaves Galore" ruler,
RicRac, a ruffle attachment for my Janome and fusible batting. It turned out
to be a quick, fun project. The pattern will be available on my website in a
day or two so be sure to check in at www.quiltedinspirations.net

I have now made 25 travel cases as welcoming gifts for an
Oct. quilt retreat that I am hosting.
Sure hope the gals like them, I sure do!
I have also been doing something fun that I intend to
make a quilt for one of our local shows.
Have any of you ever heard of the book titled
"The Hundredth Dress"?
Well, my hope is to find 100 different
30's fabrics to make 100 dresses.

I just finished putting together a "Travel Case" by P3 Designs.
A really cute pattern. All it needs is a 6" x 8" cutting mat to put
in the back pocket.
