The weather in AZ has been frightful cold which makes for some wonderful quilting and craft days. Probably like most of you, goals have been set for the new year. I have decided that I want to get more organized so I can try to stay caught up with things. I also, have some things that I have really want to do well at, such as journaling, memorizing, corresponding better along with several other things. So, I came up with something I think will help me to accomplish some of those things. It is a monthly package to gather, record, enter and store things that are important to me. So far the system is working for me. Below is what it looks like.

So that is my scrapbooking passion and now for my quilting passion. I put together a Valentine quilt.
Here are a few more that I have done in the past.

A dear friend of ours recently has been in need of some love from her friends as she is experiencing  some heavy medical issues. So what are friends for, but to gather and put a comfort quilt together for her.

I am also working on some very old projects that have been put up on the shelf and forgotten. Down they have come and work has resumed.

More Tea Towel Toppers

I'm behind in getting the toppers out but here is May's never the less and I have started making them reversible. Two scene's to a Topper!!!! Getting ready to have a Tea Towel Topper sleepover
with the local gals that quilt with me on a weekly basis.
Should be a ton of fun!

More Red, White & Blue

The days are nearing for fireworks, parades and family picnics as we celebrate the birth of our nation.  Time is short to finish up those Red, White and Blue projects and quilts that you start for this special day.
Here are just a few more items I have to share with you.

Red, White & Blue

It is that time of year again when we celebrate Independence Day. The Red, White & Blue quilts start adorning our surroundings.  I have a few that I would like to share with you today and will gather the rest in the days to come.  I have been momentarily detained due to the raging Wallow Fire here in AZ which caused us to evacuate our homes here in Eagar/Springerville.  We were allowed back home a few days ago, but life takes an interesting turn of events when something like this happens. Anyways, my home is fine, my family is safe, but the fire continues to grow. Here is the latest quilt I have and then a sneak preview of one that is the result of our Guild challenge using charm squares. The pots are made with Accucuts Tumbler block. It is not quilted yet, nor are the buttons on the center of the flowers. The quilt is called "Friendship Garden". Check back in a few days to see more Red, White & Blue quilts.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I hope all of you are having a wonderful "Green" Day.
I've been keeping busy with another Double Wedding Ring
from AccuQuilt Dies.  This one is in 30's fabrics.
Here are the cuts to make the rings.
If you go to Youtube/Double Wedding Ring
by LoveBugStudios, you will see a wonderful
video on how to put this fun quilt together.

This was a fun project that we did at our monthly
Guild meeting; Zippered Pouches.  The zippers
were laid on top, stitched and done the
easy way.  It was fun, easy and quick.

March Goodies

As promised, here are a few more March goodies!
First is the March Tea Towel Topper
Second is a cute candle mat that I put together today.
Third is a candy jar that can be made in no time at all.
Change the covering for anytime of the year or for any occasion.

The glass jar can be purchased at the Dollar Store.
Cut 2 circles large enough to gather around jar.
Insert a drawstring, tighten and fill with gold candies.
You can dress the jar up with other fabrics to fit any
occasion.
