A fun Pin Chusion
I saw this pin cushion on the internet at http://pompomrouge.wordpress.com (a fun site) under pin wheel and fell in love with it. I just had to make myself one, I elaborated on it a bit more. I attached a Superior thread spool "bottom", the part that is removable, to the top and in doing so, threads can be interchangeable. Then I pushed some batting into the center hole to have a place to insert my needles. On the bottom of the cushion I glued a thread cutter. My pin cushion is portable and has everything I need in one unit. I love it and use it often.

Red, White & Blue
It is that time of year again when we celebrate Independence Day. The Red, White & Blue quilts start adorning our surroundings. I have a few that I would like to share with you today and will gather the rest in the days to come. I have been momentarily detained due to the raging Wallow Fire here in AZ which caused us to evacuate our homes here in Eagar/Springerville. We were allowed back home a few days ago, but life takes an interesting turn of events when something like this happens. Anyways, my home is fine, my family is safe, but the fire continues to grow. Here is the latest quilt I have and then a sneak preview of one that is the result of our Guild challenge using charm squares. The pots are made with Accucuts Tumbler block. It is not quilted yet, nor are the buttons on the center of the flowers. The quilt is called "Friendship Garden". Check back in a few days to see more Red, White & Blue quilts.

Tumbling
I had a class using my tumbler block from Accuquilt and we sure did have fun. Here are a few results of the day.
This quilt is going to be a wedding gift with several more layers added.
Be sure to visit my blog regularly to see the end result.
This one is soon to be a blue tumbler quilt for a young boy
Using the Accuquilt dies, makes putting these blocks together such a joy!
