I was busy the other day making some totes, one as a small travel bag to carry all my necessities, the other for my new computer which is larger than my last one.

Life is full of wonderful adventures when you seek the opportunity to experience them. On our way home on the airplane, there was this gentleman that loaded his guitar in the overhead above his seat. I was several seats back and to the side but I told the gals in front of me to ask if he would play for us on the trip home. Well, you can't do things like that but he shared with us who he was and what he played. His name is Brian Wurzell and he shared his CD with us, "Grace Ocean". What a great guy and awesome music, here's a link http://youtu.be/uao89ZImGfw
I'm back from the Road2Ca show and what a great time we had!!!!! Seven of us went, each with two suitcases, one of which was empty for the trip home. Needless to say, there was no empty bags on the trip home. The quilts that we saw were absolutely outstanding and jaw-dropping. They were inspirations for sure making you want to start a new quilt right away. There were lots of laughs, sore feet and plenty of M&M's, thanks to Debbie. I brought back some fun things that I will be scheduling and sharing. I fell in love with these darling heart minaudiere's which I discovered at Ellen Medlock's booth. I love her fabrics as well and will be carrying some of them in my studio. Check her site out at www.ellenmedlock.com.
Another thing I picked up to share and teach is "little windows" resin kits. There are so many unique and fun things that can be done with the kits, so I'm look forward to getting that started.
You can go to www.little-windows.com to see what these are all about.
Then I purchases buttons and more buttons and made these!
Well, that is just a small showing of what I got at the show and I will soon be posting more.
Be sure to follow my blog so you can see what I will be offering in the very near future. Come join the fun.

A beautiful morning it is! Hope yours is the same. Sometimes cleaning out, re-arranging, organizing can be a bad thing or a good thing. In my situation it began not so good because the further I dug the more I found that I had started and not completed. But, with a bit of determination, another top is completed and the quilting will get done as soon as I get back from the Road 2CA show. Sooooo, looking forward to the trip. Here is the quilt and to let you know how long it has been on hold, I got the pattern from "Quiltworks" magazine issue Sept, 1999. It's a wonder that the material is still in tack. Covered buttons will be on each of the flowers when completed. Good feeling to have it done.
